I had a busy Saturday!! The Houston Choral Society a group I have sung with since 1988 had our big Oktoberfest concert. It was mainly done in German so I’ve been spending a lot of time working on it!! Unfortunately because of it falling on World Card Making Day I was unable to have a group of ladies to come over for a day of stamping!!
I’m going to be describing the bottom left card. I love making these “peek – a- boo” cards. The base is Early Espresso cs cut 5 1/2′ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ I used Crushed Curry, Whisper White cs, and Colored Me Autumn DSP paper. I stamped the Acorn design with Memento Tuxcedo Ink on Whisper White cs and then used blending pens with Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, and Chocolate Chip inks. The DSP paper is cut 5 1/4′ x 4″ and then find the middle and cut down 1 1/2″ down. Then fold over each corner and using tape runner to hold it down. Then adhere it onto the front of the card using tape runner. Next using the Stitched Circles cut the largest out of Crushed Curry and then the next size smaller that you stamped the design on. Adhere the Whisper White to the Crushed Curry piece and using Stampin Dimensionals to the Crushed Curry to put it on the center of the DSP. I used Thinking of You from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set using Chocolate Chip ink and punched out using the new Classic Label punch. Adhere it using the new mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Also be sure and check out the Designer Series Paper sale that is going on the month of October.

Today’s card is going to be the top right one using the new Daisy punch, This is a very quick and easy card to make especially for beginners to paper crafts.
Whisper White cardstock is used for the card base which is cut at 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″. Basic Black cardstock is used for the top layer which is cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and adhere it to the base card using Stampin’ Up Snail tape runner. Punch out 3 daisies using the new Daisy punch in Whisper White and adhere them on the card. Using a scrap of Daffodil Delight punch out 3 centers for the daisies using a 3/4″ circle punch and adhere them to each daisy. Using a scrap of Whisper White stamp the sentiment “get well wishes” from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set using memento Black ink and punch out using the classic label punch. Next adhere to the back of the label the new Stampin’ Up Mini Dimensionals at both ends and put on the card. To complete the card put a clear Faceted Gem inside each daisy.

Till next time a big HUG!!
Had my Hostess Club gathering last night. I always have a lot of fun with those gals 🙂 Unfortunately we were missing some because of summertime and vacations.
Today I’m going to share the bottom left card. It was using the Color Theory Suite.
I love this stamp set Colorful Seasons as it has such versatility. You can do a summer at the beach because of the lounger chair. You can can do a fall card using the leaf stamps. There is a snowflake stamp for a winter card. This suite also has a Memories and More pack which you can use in photo album, scrapbook pages or to add that extra wow to a card!
The base of this card is Berry Burst cardstock which is 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″. Next layer is Whisper White which is cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″. For the open house I had a choice of 4 different colors to choose from which included Berry Burst, Dapper Denim, Crushed Curry, and Old Olive which was cut to the size 3 3/4″ x 5″ and was adhered to the Whisper White layer with stampin dimensionals. I cut the flowers out of the variegated side of the Color Theory DSP paper using the flower thinlit from the Seasonal Layers thinlits that go with the stamp set. The middle of the flower dots used the Glitter Enamel Dots that go this Suite.
I stamped the saying You make me Smile from the stamp set Colorful Seasons onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock. This card used the Berry Burst ink and was then punched out using the new Pretty Label punch. Also, the Pretty Label punch was used with the DSP paper.
This suite can be found on pgs. 146 – 147 in the new annual catalog.
You can purchase these products by clicking on the catalog icon to shop with me. The code for the month of July is JBBJWHFC. If you spend up to $ 149.99 use that code but if you spend $150.00 or more don’t use it and you will receive the Stampin Rewards.
Till next time a big HUG!
Such a cool breezy day here in Katy, TX. It was in high 80’s yesterday and high is only going to be 72 today! Crazy weather!! At least this weather will hold out tomorrow and not rain on us when we drive to Shreveport, LA, for the On Stage Stampin Up gathering 🙂
Today’s card is on the bottom left. Base uses Sweet Sugarplum cs which is 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ Next layer is Vary Vanilla cut at 5 1/4″ x 4″ and then run through embossing folder Large Polka Dot using the Big Shot.
The bowl cut out in Crumb Cake cs, ice cream scoops are cut out using Very Vanilla cs, to have it be a French Vanilla flavor, the topping is in Chocolate Chip cs, while the cherry is cut from a scrap of Whisper White cs and then colored using Stampin Write markers Real Red and Pear Pizazz, while the spoon is cut from a scrap of silver foil. They are all cut out the Frozen Treats Framelits Dies found in the Occasions catalog. The toppings are adhered to the ice cream scoops before the scoops of ice cream are adhered to the bowl using Tombow glue except for one scoop which is adhered with Stampin Dimensionals. The cherry and spoon are also glued on. You then glue the bowl to the4″ x 2 1/2″ Very Vanilla cs. Using Sweet Sugarplum ink you stamp the sentiment from the Cool Treats Stamps.
To assemble the card you adhere the Very Vanilla piece onto the 4″ x 2 3/4″ piece of Sweet Sugarplum cs. Then you tie a piece of Sweet Sugarplum Ruched Ribbon around the embossed Very Vanilla piece and then adhere it all to the base card using Tombow glue.
I hope you enjoy making this Yummy card!

Independent Stampin’ Up demonstrator
This card was fun to make!! Again I saw the idea for this on Pinterest.
It is your basic A2 card with Whisper White cardstock for the base cut at 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored and 4 1/4. Then I wanted to showcase all the new Stampin’ Up in- colors. Each color was cut at 1″ x 3 3/4″ except for Flirty Flamingo which was cut at 1 1/4″ x 3 3/4″. They were then adhered to another piece of Whisper White 4″ x 5 1/4″. I started with emerald Envy first at the bottom and worked my way up to the top. So the next color is Peekaboo Peach, Dapper Denim, Sweet Sugarplum, and Flirty Flamingo. The top layer was also 4″ x 5 1/4″ using Whisper White. Using the wavy thinlit from the Swirly Scribbles Thinklits I put it in the middle of the paper. I ran that through the Big Shot and ended up with three separate pieces. before adhering to the card I stamped Happy Day from the Perfectly Wrapped stamp set using Dapper Denim Ink on the right had side of the card. Then I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to put the outer pieces on the card while using the Fine Tip Glue to put the middle wavy section down onto the in-colored piece.
So, to recap how to assemble the card you adhere the in- color strips to one piece of Whisper White and using Stampin’ Dimenisonals to put that piece on the front of the card. Next, you cut out the next Whisper White piece with adding Stampin’ Dimensionals to the outside two pieces and adhering the wavy section using the Fine Tip Glue to the in-color paper.
If you would like to have this stamp set and Thinlit dies for yourself or both of them in a bundle just click on the icon below and it will take you to my store where you can shop.
When ordering please don’t say No Contact, otherwise I won’t be able to send you a Thank You note.
Till next time happy stamping!
This is the last card we made using Jars of Love stamp set.
We stamped the three different sizes of jars on the Fruit Stand Designer Series paper using Dapper Denim ink and then used the Everyday Jar Framelits to cut them out with. Real Red ink was used for the jar lids. The bow was stamped on Whisper White cardstock using Daffodil Delight.
The Whisper White was 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4. The In-Color DSP was 2 1/2 x 5 1/4 and the Dapper Denim was 2 3/4 x 5 1/4. I put the DSO first and put the solid Dapper Denim on top of it. I cut one of the Delicate White Doilies in half and put it on first with the Jars on top of it. The tag was cut out using the Tags & Labels Framelits with the sentiment Hello, that is also in the Jars of Love stamp set, stamped on it using Dapper Denim ink. All the jars, tag and ribbon where put on using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Sorry for going missing for so long! I was in Kansas City, MO, with my younger daughter for a week helping her to get her room ready for another school year teaching Pre – K at the Forerunner Christian School in Kansas City! I then got home just in time to start my long term substitute elem. music job. I worked with K-5 everyday on a 6 day rotation cycle, so I saw every class twice within that rotation cycle. I also had to get the 5th graders ready for their Constitution program which was going to be just 4 days after the teacher came back! I’m now finished with that long term sub job 🙂
I want to continue with the cards from the Jars of Love class I did.
This card used the Thoughtful Branches stamp set and Beautiful Branches Thinlits. It was done using the Sweet Sugarplum ink, cardstock, and Ruched ribbon. The jar was stamped in Dapper Denim ink and the inside of the jar was stamped using Soft Sky. Old Olive cardstock was used for the leaves which were cut out with the Thinlits. Unfortunately this set was only offered for a short period of time, but by making a card with it I sold quite a few sets!
To make the card I actually stamped the tree once on the Whisper White cardstock and then again and cut it out with the Beautiful Branches Thinlits and added Stampin’ dimensionals to make it have a 3-D effect. The sentiment was stamped using Sweet Sugarplum ink.
Here is a closer look at the card.

Today is one of the cards I showcased at my catalog launch open house. This time we are using the stamp set Painter’s Palette and a hostess stamp Love You Lots.
Ink colors used were Dapper Denim for the dots, and Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sugarplum for the splotches. Memento Tuxcedo black was used for the easel and Real Red was used for the the ladybugs.
The easel was stamped directly on the card. It was then stamped again om another piece of Whisper White paper where the ladybugs were stamped in the middle. The middle section was then cut out using the Layering square Framelits and adhered to the easel with stampin dimensionals. This is a close up view of the ladybugs.
