Cool Treats Card #2

Such a cool breezy day here in Katy, TX.  It was in high 80’s yesterday and high is only going to be 72 today!  Crazy weather!!  At least this weather will hold out tomorrow and not rain on us when we drive to Shreveport, LA, for the On Stage Stampin Up gathering  🙂

Today’s card is on the bottom left.  Base uses Sweet Sugarplum cs which is 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ Next layer is Vary Vanilla cut at 5 1/4″ x 4″ and then run through embossing folder Large Polka Dot using the Big Shot.

The bowl cut out in Crumb Cake cs, ice cream scoops are cut out using Very Vanilla cs, to have it be a French Vanilla flavor, the topping is in Chocolate Chip cs, while the cherry is cut from a scrap of Whisper White cs and then colored using Stampin Write markers Real Red and Pear Pizazz, while the spoon is cut from a scrap of silver foil.  They are all cut out the Frozen Treats Framelits Dies found in the Occasions catalog.   The toppings are adhered to the ice cream scoops before the scoops of ice cream are adhered to the bowl using Tombow glue except for one scoop which is adhered with Stampin Dimensionals.  The cherry and spoon are also glued on. You then glue the bowl to the4″ x 2 1/2″ Very Vanilla cs.  Using Sweet Sugarplum ink you stamp the sentiment from the Cool Treats Stamps.

To assemble the card you adhere the Very Vanilla piece onto the 4″ x 2 3/4″ piece of Sweet Sugarplum cs.  Then you tie a piece of Sweet Sugarplum Ruched Ribbon around the embossed Very Vanilla piece and then adhere it all to the base card using Tombow glue.

Cool Treats

This week I’m going to post the cards I did for my Cool Treats Class in March.

The first card top left I like to call “peek a-boo” card.  It uses Chocolate Chip cs for the base.  A piece of DSP from Tasty Treats is cut at 5 1/4″ x 4″.  Fold it in half and just gently pinch it so as not to make an entire fold.  Then using paper trimmer cut in 1 1/2″ and then fold each of those halves back to make the triangles.  Using a small glue dot will help hold the edges down.

The largest stitched circle framelits was cut out using Watermelon Wonder cs.  The ice cream cone was cut out using the Frozen Treats Framelits Dies.  The cone used Chocolate Chip, the ice cream scoops used Peek-a-Boo Peach and Whisper White cs.  The fudge topping was cut out in Chocolate Chip cs. The cherry was cut out in Whisper White and then colored using Real Red and Pear Pizazz markers.

The sentiment “Sweet” was stamped on a 1 3/4″ x 1″ piece of Watermelon Wonder cs  using Chocolate Chip ink.  Then rounded the corners using Project Life corner rounder. After that use a sponge dauber and go around the edges with Chocolate Chip ink.

Using Tombow glue on the DSP piece put it on the front of the base. Use Stampin Dimensionals to put the other pieces on the card.

March Schedule

Hi All,

February is already gone!!!  I have my March schedule of classes.  The first class is going to be Cool Treats using stamps and DSP from the Cool Treats Suite pg. 32-33 of the 2017 Occasions catalog.  It is going to be:

 

March 9th – 11:00am -2:00pm

March 11 – 10:00 am to 1:00pm

The other class is TBD on:

 

March 23rd – 11:00am – 2:00pm

March 25th – 10:00am – 1:00pm

 

It will be 4 cards for $20.00 or a purchase of at least $25.00 and will then be free!  Hostess Club is still $15.00 for the class and at least $20.00 and will then be free!

Other activities this month will be Hostess Club gathering Tuesday  March 21st at 7:00, and Paper Pumpkin gathering will be Sunday March  26th at 2:00.  This date may change, so I will keep you posted.
