Delightful Daisy

all cards wm

Today’s card is going to be the top right one using the new Daisy punch,  This is a very quick and easy card to make especially for beginners to paper crafts.

Whisper White cardstock is used for the card base which is cut at 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″.  Basic Black cardstock is used for the top layer which is cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and adhere it to the base card using Stampin’ Up Snail tape runner.  Punch out 3 daisies using the new Daisy punch in Whisper White and adhere them on the card.  Using a scrap of Daffodil Delight punch out 3 centers for the daisies using a 3/4″ circle punch and adhere them to each daisy.  Using a scrap of Whisper White stamp the sentiment “get well wishes” from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set using memento Black ink and punch out using the classic label punch.  Next adhere to the back of the label the new Stampin’ Up Mini Dimensionals at both ends and put on the card. To complete the card put a clear Faceted Gem inside each daisy.

Happy Wednesday

Had my Hostess Club gathering last night.  I always have a lot of fun with those gals 🙂  Unfortunately we were missing some because of summertime and vacations.

all cards wm

Today I’m going to share the bottom left card. It was using the Color Theory Suite.

Smile wm

I love this stamp set Colorful Seasons as it has such versatility.  You can do a summer at the beach because of the lounger chair.  You can can do a fall card using the leaf stamps.  There is a snowflake stamp for a winter card.  This suite also has a Memories and More pack which you can use in photo album, scrapbook pages or to add that extra wow to a card!

The base of this card is Berry Burst cardstock which is 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″.  Next layer is Whisper White which is cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″.  For the open house I had a choice of 4 different colors to choose from which included Berry Burst, Dapper Denim, Crushed Curry, and Old Olive which was cut to the size 3 3/4″ x 5″ and was adhered to the Whisper White layer with stampin dimensionals.  I cut the flowers out of the variegated side of the Color Theory DSP paper using the flower thinlit from the  Seasonal Layers thinlits that go with the stamp set.  The middle of the flower dots used the Glitter Enamel Dots that go this Suite.

I stamped the saying You make me Smile from the stamp set Colorful Seasons onto a scrap of  Whisper White cardstock.  This card used the Berry Burst ink and was then punched out using the new Pretty Label punch.  Also, the Pretty Label punch was used with the DSP paper.

This suite can be found on pgs. 146 – 147 in the new annual catalog.

You can purchase these products by clicking on the catalog icon to shop with me.  The code for the month of July is JBBJWHFC.  If you spend up to $ 149.99 use that code but if you spend $150.00 or more don’t use it and you will receive the Stampin Rewards.

Vintage Leaves Card

Wow how fast this day has already gone!  I have been busy doing Stampin Up and Thirty One Gift orders all day 🙂

I want to continue with the cards made at the Fall/Autumn class using the Vintage Leaves stamp set.

img_0857wm

This was made by using a stencil cut from the Leaf Framelits that go with the Vintage Leaves stamp set, and than sponging the different inks such as, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Pear Pizazz,Cherry Cobbler on another piece of Very Vanilla so it would look like a leaf.  Then using Early Espresso to stamp the veins on using the Vintage Leaves stamp set.  Next, using the Leaf Framelits to cut it out.  That was the way I did it. I liked the way it gave it a 3-D effect after they were cut out.  Some in the class participants chose to do it a different way and it also turned out great looking.

img_0867

This one was made by Cyndi and she used to leaves that were left over when I cut out the stencils.  Using the same ink colors she sponged them completely different and when she cut them out with the Leaf Framelits they still looked like 3-D leaves.  She really liked the saying we used on the first card and chose to use it again.

img_0869

Had problems getting the picture without the glare.  Christy took the paper and instead of using the stencil she just sponged a lot of the colors together blending them as she went along.  Next, she decided where she wanted the leaves and she stamped the veins on the paper and then cut them out using the Leaf Framelits.

It was fun seeing how they took my idea and did their own creation from it.  We had fun watching and learning from each other different ways to use the same materials and ideas!

The ribbon used was from the Holiday catalog set of 3/8″ Ribbon Trio Pack and Old Olive cardstock was used to cut the scalloped oval with the new Oval Framelits. .  The sentiment was stamped using the Paisleys and Poisies stamp set onto Very Vanilla cardstock which was put cut using the Oval Framelits also and then adhered to the Old Olive piece. then that piece was put on using Stampin Dimensionals.

A fun time was had by everyone 🙂

Be sure and don’t forget to check out the Designer series paper sale going on for the month of October,

Just saw the special for the month of November and you are going to just love it.

Jars of Love

Happy Saturday!

Today I’m starting to share some of the cards we made in the Jars of Love class this month.  The first card I got the idea from Pinterest that was from one that  Emily Campbell posted.  I liked the way she used not only the Jars of Love stamp set but By the Sea DSP.

Jars of love #2

The colors used were soft sky for the base of the card and then the next layer was the DSP paper.  The flowers were stamped using Blushing Bride and Flirty Flamingo inks.  The leaves were stamped using Emerald Envy ink.  The mason jar was stamped on Soft Sky cardstock using Dapper Denim ink and then cut out with the framelits that go with it.

Assembly of the card on top of the DSP paper you put the doily and then the mason jar is put on with dimensionals.  The flowers and leave stems are also cut out by using the framelit that goes with the stamp.  The stems are put on using fine tip glue, and the flowers are put on the stems and leaves using dimensionals.  The sentiment is stamped on a piece of Very Vanilla paper 1″x 4″using Flirty Flamingo ink. You cut the flag at one end.   It is then put on the card using dimensionals.

IMG_0817This is a close up of the flowers.  The light color is Blushing Bride and then the Flirty Flamingo is stamped over it.  This is a two step stamp set.

Swirly Bird card

Good Morning,

Today I’m sharing another card from catalog launch.  We used the Swirly Bird stamp set and the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits along with the Timeless Textures stamp set.  I saw this idea on Pinterest and added a tweak here and there.

IMG_0768 swirly bird open house

A stamp from Timeless Textures was used for the hair in Peekaboo Peach. The eyes were cut from Dapper Denim, the nose from Flirty Flamingo, the mouth from Sweet Sugar Plum.  We only used a part of that thinlit for the mouth.  The tie was done in Emerald Envy.

The base of the card was Sweet Sugar Plum and then the next layer was Whisper White.  I wanted to show how you could be serious or cute with this bundle! My card class was going to be more on the serious side.

I will start showing those cards we did in the Swirly Bird class next time.

Supplies:

Stamps: Swirly Bird – 141749; Swirly Scribbles Thinlit Dies – 141497;  or the Bundle 142353; Timeless Textures – 140517 – clear; 140514 – wood

Inks: Dapper Denim – 141394; Emerald Envy – 141396; Flirty Flamingo – 141397; Peekaboo Peach – 141398; Sweet Sugar Plum – 141395.

Pop of Paradise

IMG_0760wmpop copy

Good morning!

It has already been a busy day.  Brett and I have been working on getting a watermark made to put on my cards and anything else I might want to add it to.  We had success.  Today I’m going to share another card that we did at the open house in June.  This one is using the Pop of Paradise stamps and Pop of Pink DSP.  It also uses the Banners Framelits and the new Sweet & Sassy Framelits.

The flamingo was stamped on the whisper white banner using Melon Mambo ink and the leaves used Garden Green ink.  Melon Mambo was also used to stamp the saying “thinking of you.” Looks like the ink might’ve been a little to dry when the sample was made

I found this idea on Pinterest and did a little tweaking with it.

Supplies used: Paper

Basic black  – 121045 –  4 1/4″ x  11″ – scored at 5 1/2″

Pop of Pink  141648 – 4″ x 5 1/4″

Whisper White – 100730

Framelits:

Banners – 132173

Sweet & Sassy – 141707

Inks:

Melon Mambo – 126948

Garden Green – 126973

If you would like to order any of these products go to shop and put in this months hostess code ZDDP3QZ3.  Remember the Bonus Days offer that is going on all this month.

Till next time!

Penny
