Vintage Leaves Card

Wow how fast this day has already gone!  I have been busy doing Stampin Up and Thirty One Gift orders all day 🙂

I want to continue with the cards made at the Fall/Autumn class using the Vintage Leaves stamp set.

This was made by using a stencil cut from the Leaf Framelits that go with the Vintage Leaves stamp set, and than sponging the different inks such as, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Pear Pizazz,Cherry Cobbler on another piece of Very Vanilla so it would look like a leaf.  Then using Early Espresso to stamp the veins on using the Vintage Leaves stamp set.  Next, using the Leaf Framelits to cut it out.  That was the way I did it. I liked the way it gave it a 3-D effect after they were cut out.  Some in the class participants chose to do it a different way and it also turned out great looking.

This one was made by Cyndi and she used to leaves that were left over when I cut out the stencils.  Using the same ink colors she sponged them completely different and when she cut them out with the Leaf Framelits they still looked like 3-D leaves.  She really liked the saying we used on the first card and chose to use it again.

Had problems getting the picture without the glare.  Christy took the paper and instead of using the stencil she just sponged a lot of the colors together blending them as she went along.  Next, she decided where she wanted the leaves and she stamped the veins on the paper and then cut them out using the Leaf Framelits.

It was fun seeing how they took my idea and did their own creation from it.  We had fun watching and learning from each other different ways to use the same materials and ideas!

The ribbon used was from the Holiday catalog set of 3/8″ Ribbon Trio Pack and Old Olive cardstock was used to cut the scalloped oval with the new Oval Framelits. .  The sentiment was stamped using the Paisleys and Poisies stamp set onto Very Vanilla cardstock which was put cut using the Oval Framelits also and then adhered to the Old Olive piece. then that piece was put on using Stampin Dimensionals.

A fun time was had by everyone 🙂
